Abstract

A “success center” has been created and in operation over a year using generalists as the front line to students. These generalists have training in all of the Student Services and engage students as they come in or call to meet their needs. This session will review the change agents needed as these positions were developed and what goes into the training of the generalists. The relationship between the generalists and specialists will be explored as to lessons learned and walking the line between general information and referral.
