Abstract

The world is changing and so is our business.  There is neither final solution nor an end to possibilities.  But don’t let traditional organizational issues and restrictive thinking get in the way.  The Web is here to stay and will permit new ways of doing things.  Also, don’t think you have to do it all. From “e” solutions – to ASP;s – to outsourcing processes, schools must find what works best for them.  At Penn, we have done a little of each with meaningful improvements is service; but we do not see the end anywhere on the horizon.  This presentation will address reengineering student finance – in particular Student Financial Aid.  It will touch on ways to use the Web and ways to use outsourcing to improve productivity while finding new resources to redistribute the emerging areas – Counseling, accounting and systems.
