Congratulations, Class of
2017 and Transfers!
It is our
pleasure to welcome the Class of 2017 and new transfer
students to the Tufts University community. We look
forward to welcoming the new class to campus in
September and assisting you in your transition to life
at Tufts. The Undergraduate Orientation program is
intended to assist students, parents, and families to
understand the goals and expectations of this dynamic
university community, and to introduce you to the
valuable services and programs available on campus. We
strongly believe that the Orientation Program will
prepare students well as they begin their academic and
co-curricular journeys.
What's next? Near the beginning of May, all students
who have confirmed their intention to attend Tufts will
receive an email with log-in credentials to the
Connection site. Over the summer, you and your
family will also receive a few mailings from University
administration about what to expect from your new
community and how best to plan for your transition to
campus.
What is Connection?
Connection2017
and ConnectionTransfer are the University's
on-line gateways for all incoming students. All the
information you need to know, as well as forms and
processes that you will need to complete over the
summer, are centralized on Connection. From
uploading your ID photo and downloading health forms to
revewing information about course selections and
inputting preferences for housing, Connection
is your summer link to Tufts.
Connection must be accessed by you, the
student; we encourage you to sit down with your parents
and other supporters to review this vital information
together. Family members will also find our
Parents Website useful before your arrival and
throughout your Tufts experience.
Remember to mark your calendar for move-in to your
residence hall on the morning of Wednesday, August 28th.
For now, we encourage newly admitted students to enjoy
the end of their high school careers, join the Tufts
Class of 2017 or Tufts Transfer Facebook group and let
us do the work in planning for your arrival.
Sincerely,
The Undergraduate
