Orientation Coordinators
The Office of Undergraduate
Orientation employs three student Coordinators to plan,
implement and execute various aspects of the New Student
Orientation Program. Working closely with the offices of
Undergraduate Education and Student Affairs these
coordinators are responsible for the overall operations
of Orientation week as well as the training and
supervision of
EOLs and OLs.
2012 Orientation Coordinators
Audrey
Abrell ’13, Coordinator for Logistics and Communication
My name is Audrey, and I'm a
rising senior majoring in International Relations and
Political Science. I'm from Valparaiso, Indiana.
At Tufts, I am a coxswain on the
Varsity Women's Crew team and a student manager with
Tufts Catering. Tufts is wonderful because the whole
community, students included, is so supportive. You can
accomplish anything here because there are so many
people willing to help. I can’t wait to be an
Orientation Coordinator! I am really looking forward to
showing the new students what Tufts is all about and
jump-starting their Tufts careers
Babisa Adumbire ’13,
Coordinator for Co-Curricular Programs and Special
Events
My name is Babisa Adumbire and I'm
from Accra, Ghana. I am a Senior majoring in Clinical
Psychology with a minor in Communication and Media
Studies. At Tufts, I am involved in OneWorld, Tufts Idea
Exchange (also known as TEX), and the Tufts Longboading
Club. I love Tufts because of the warm, welcoming
environment. Students are friendly and open-minded and
the campus has an atmosphere that reflects laid-back,
accepting nature of our community. What I am most
excited for, as a part of the orientation team, is
welcoming the new class to the Jumbo family!
Chris Blackett ’13 Coordinator for Training, Leadership
and Academic Programming
My name is Christopher Blackett,
and I’m a senior studying English and Studio Art.
As a student at Tufts University, I’m involved in
Programming Board, Inter Fraternity Council, and Read by
the River. I love Tufts because of the people that
make up this university. And General Gau’s chicken
at Dewick Dining Hall. I’m excited about my
position as Orientation Coordinator and am looking
forward to working with the OCL (Office for Campus Life)
and meeting all the new Orientation Leaders!
