Fitness & Individual Development at Tufts (F.I.T.)

Students interested in learning about exercise, nutrition, stress management, recreational opportunities, how to balance school, work and other obligations should sign up for F.I.T.

First year and transfer students are invited to live, learn and experience life on the Tufts campus through a four-day adventure prior to the regular Tufts orientation. Students will participate in a variety of activities: fun games, Tufts Personalized Performance Program, nutritional & fitness guidance, stress & time management presentations, relaxation techniques, fitness workouts, yoga, pilates, kayaking, sailing or rock climbing, Boston Harbor cruise and more.

Anxiety and uncertainty about moving away from home for the first time can be challenging for any student. The goal of F.I.T. is to help students adjust to Tufts, chose healthy lifestyles and to be engaged in the Tufts community. Peer leaders and professional staff will work and guide students through a non-competitive environment. This innovative program is designed to encourage active and engaged students.
