Frequently
Asked
Questions
Q.
What
if I need technical help?
R.
The
first screen of SIS Online provides you with information
regarding system requirements.
If your PC or Mac does not meet the minimum requirements
you can register at one of the Tufts Computer Labs.
Q.
What
if I cannot log in?
R.
Call
the Student Services Desk at 627-2000, email the office
at
studentservices@ase.tufts.edu
or
come to the Student Services
Desk at Dowling Hall for assistance.
Q.
What
if the registration system seems to be “down?”
R.
During
the hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. you should keep trying to
access the web site.
(The system will not respond before
or after these times.) In the event of technical
problems, information will be posted to the web.
You can also call the Student Services Desk at
627-2000. You
are encouraged to regularly check your email as this is
how you will receive any updates about web registration.
Q.
What
if I don’t really like computers or I need help
registering for courses?
R
Come to the Student Services Desk for assistance.
Q.
Should
I waitlist for a course?
R.
You
need to use your best judgment.
Check to see where you are on the waitlist.
When you waitlist for a course, credits are counted against your credit load. Although students will automatically be enrolled in a course
when a space becomes available, it is not recommended to
waitlist for more than 2 courses.
All students who are enrolled in a course from
the waitlist will be notified via email that they have
been enrolled in the course.
Q.
Why
am I being required to input the number of credits for
some courses?
R.
These
are variable credit courses. You
will be required to enter a value.
The professor determines the actual credits earned for variable credit courses. Consult the instructor if you have concerns.
